Cash on Delivery rules for Gulf stores

Stop refused COD orders across the Gulf before they ship

Khaleeji COD hides Cash on Delivery at checkout only when an order looks risky, so those shoppers pay online or not at all. Set rules by emirate or city, with no postcodes needed. Cards, Apple Pay and pay-later options never change.

Every refused COD order costs you twice

Shipping both ways

You pay the courier to deliver, and again to bring the parcel back. The sale never happens.

Stock stuck in transit

The item is off your shelf for days while it travels out and back, so you can't sell it to someone who'd pay.

The same buyers come back

A shopper who refused once can order again tomorrow. Shopify's checkout doesn't remember.

How it works

  1. Keep COD in Shopify

Cash on Delivery stays one of your payment methods, exactly as you set it up.

  2. Pick your rules

Switch on the rules you want, or apply the one-click GCC preset and adjust the amounts.

  3. Checkout follows them

When an order matches a rule, COD is hidden for that checkout only. Everyone else still sees it.

Rules you control

COD is hidden when any rule you switched on matches. Leave the rest off.

  • Past refusersCustomers tagged cod-refused or cod-blocked don't see COD.
  • Big cartsHide COD when the cart total is above an amount you choose.
  • Large first ordersHide COD on a first order (or guest checkout) above a smaller amount.
  • Chosen productsProducts tagged no-cod switch COD off for the whole cart.
  • EmiratesBlock COD by emirate code, such as AE-AZ for Abu Dhabi. No postcodes needed.
  • CitiesBlock COD for cities you list, in English or Arabic: Al Ain or العين.

Arabic checkout showing «الدفع عند الاستلام»

Made for Arabic checkouts

Arabic shoppers see «الدفع عند الاستلام». Everyone else sees a clear "Cash on Delivery". The admin page works in Arabic too, right to left.

  • Arabic and English COD names, both editable
  • Admin page follows your Shopify language, with a العربية / English switch
  • City rules accept Arabic and English spellings

Find the customers who refused before

The refuser scan finds orders from the last 60 days that were cancelled, keeps the COD ones, and lists the customers to tag. Nothing is tagged until you confirm.

  • One click tags them cod-refused
  • Customers already tagged are skipped
  • The money report shows the shipping you lost on the refused orders that had shipped

What it never touches

Only COD changes

Cards, Apple Pay, Tabby, Tamara and every other method stay as they are.

Broken settings do nothing

If the settings are missing or unreadable, COD simply shows as normal. It never hides everything.

Common questions

What does Khaleeji COD do?

It hides, limits or renames the Cash on Delivery payment method at Shopify checkout. When an order matches a rule you set (a past refuser, a big cart, a large first order, a no-cod product, or a blocked region or city), COD is hidden for that checkout, so the shopper pays online or doesn't order. It also renames COD to a clear Arabic or English name.

Is Khaleeji COD on the Shopify App Store?

Not yet. It's coming soon. Email 9090mohammad123@gmail.com and we'll tell you the day it's live.

Which countries is it for?

It's built for stores selling in the Gulf (GCC): the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. Emirate rules use the UAE's emirate codes. In the other Gulf countries Shopify's checkout asks for no region, so use city rules there. No postcodes are needed anywhere.

Does it change card, Apple Pay, Tabby or Tamara payments?

No. Khaleeji COD only ever changes Cash on Delivery. Every other payment method stays exactly as you set it up.

How does it know which payment method is COD?

By name. It recognises "Cash on Delivery", "Cash-on-Delivery", "Pay on Delivery", "COD", "C.O.D" and the Arabic names «الدفع عند الاستلام», «الدفع عند التسليم» and «الدفع نقدا عند الاستلام».
